It’ll be a chilly start for most with plenty of bright or sunny spells through the day. Showers will affect eastern parts especially, with the risk of hail and thunder, and it’ll feel cool here in the easterly breeze.
Monday 10 October—Sunday 16 October
Goodbye high
The high pressure looks set to move away during next week allowing low pressure to make slow and erratic progress into the British Isles. This will bring a gradual change to more unsettled conditions. Initially this will take place in western areas with eastern Scotland and the east of England hanging on to the driest, brightest weather during the early part of the week. However outbreaks of rain will extend further eastwards across the country later in the week. Winds will also become strong at times. Temperatures will be close to normal for the middle part of October but feeling colder during the wet and windy spells
