Today

Today, eastern England will be cloudy with patchy rain and strong winds at times. Mainly dry with sunny spells elsewhere, with the odd shower in places. Cloud spreading into the south-west by evening.

Tonight

Tonight, much of England and Wales will have thick cloud and a few light showers but these will become confined to the south and east by dawn. Further north, largely dry with lengthy clear spells.

Wednesday

Tomorrow, far south and south-east England will be cloudy and breezy with a few showers but turn brighter later. Elsewhere, dry with some cloud and sunny spells, these most frequent in the afternoon.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Dry and settled for all on Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and just a few areas of cloud developing during the middle of the day, and a few patches of mist and fog across the north in the early morning. On Friday, Scotland will be cloudy with rain in the north-west. Dry and sunnier elsewhere. Turning unsettled, windy and wet with heavy rain pushing eastwards on Saturday.
